What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you give one, and the details of what you bought. Card details are handled by our payment providers inside a secure checkout — they never reach us and we cannot see them.

When you simply browse, our shop platform records standard technical data such as pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, device type and referring site.

Why we use it

To take payment, ship your order, send order and delivery updates, answer your emails, handle returns, prevent fraud and meet our bookkeeping obligations.

If you opt in, we also use your email address to send occasional enrichment tips and product news. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link and we never sell your address.

Who we share it with

Only the partners needed to complete your order: our shop and payment platform, our fulfilment partner and the carrier delivering your parcel, and our email provider. Each receives the minimum data required, and none may use it for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as accounting law requires. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. Browsing analytics are retained in aggregated form.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to marketing at any time. Email hello@sniffsettle.com and we respond within 30 days, usually far sooner.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the shop to work — remembering your basket and keeping checkout secure — plus basic analytics cookies to see which pages are useful. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though checkout may then stop working.
