Wet dog food, plain natural yoghurt, mashed banana, pumpkin purée, soaked kibble, or xylitol-free peanut butter used sparingly. Avoid anything with xylitol, chocolate, onion or grapes.
Count it towards your dog's daily food. A generous lick mat is a meal, not a snack.
Spread, freeze flat for two hours, then serve. Frozen mats last three to four times longer and work far better for anxiety and crate rest.
